Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely. We are a community-led organization with no large international headquarters to support. Our overheads are minimal. Historically, operations have been funded by our founder’s own income, meaning your donation goes directly to boreholes, medicine, and school fees. All financial transactions are fully documented for complete transparency.

Because we are already on the ground. We aren’t outsiders looking in; we are community members serving our own neighbors. This means 100% of your contribution goes to the actual project, not administrative costs abroad. We offer a direct line to sustainable, local impact.

We take a holistic approach to community health. We believe you cannot have good health without clean water, and vice versa. Our core mission combines:

  • Clean Water: Drilling boreholes for underserved communities.

  • Healthcare: Providing HIV testing, counseling, and mobile clinics.

  • Support: Feeding vulnerable families and sponsoring orphaned children’s education.

No. We are a strictly humanitarian organization. Our services are provided equally to everyone, without discrimination based on religion, tribe, race, gender, or HIV status. Our only agenda is community well-being.

Patrick is a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant born in rural Malawi. He didn’t just read about the problems of unsafe water and HIV/AIDS—he lived them. He founded this organization not as a career move, but as a personal mission to save his community. He is supported by a local team of businesspeople and educators who share that mission.

Yes, we are operational but operating below capacity. Since 2021, limited funding has slowed our expansion. We are currently running essential programs (water, healthcare, education sponsorship), but with more support, we can reactivate our full strategic plan, including building rural hospitals and skills training centers.

We invite scrutiny. It is a core value of our organization to keep detailed records. We provide full documentation of all project records and financial transactions to our partners. We are a small team, which means we are accountable directly to you, not a distant bureaucracy.

Right now, we need:

  1. Funding Partners: To help us scale up our borehole drilling and healthcare outreach.

  2. Medical Supplies: Basic medicines and testing kits for our mobile clinics.

  3. Sponsorships: Individuals to sponsor a child’s education for $X per month (we can provide a specific case).

Yes! We welcome passionate volunteers. By working with us, you are guaranteed to work side-by-side with local leaders, ensuring your help is used effectively. Please email us to discuss your skills and how you can contribute.

It’s simple. Email us at info@safewatermwi.org. Tell us if you want to donate, partner, or volunteer. We will respond personally with the next steps.

Help Bring Clean Water to Rural Communities

Millions of people in rural Malawi still lack access to safe drinking water. Your support helps us drill boreholes, improve community health, and give families a chance to live healthier lives.
